Supporting Research for M. Phil. And Ph. D.

            A research project entitled “Status and scope of leaf infecting micro fungi (foliicolous fungi) in Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu” has been undertaken by the Bala Vidya Ganapathi Educational and Charitable Trust. Under this scheme, women students are given financial support to do their M. Phil. and Ph. D. research. The following M. Phil. and Ph. D. projects were supported under this scheme.

 

1. Biotropic microfungi on some shola plants in Kodaikanal forest region of Tamil Nadu – by Ms. K. Meera.

2. Studies on Black Mildews in Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu – by Ms. R. Nithyatharani.

3. Foliar micromycetes on some wild plants in Mathikettan shola of Kodaikanal Hill Range , Tamil Nadu – by Ms. A. Yasotha.

4. Studies on some micromycetes of Kodaikanal region in Tamilnadu –
by Ms. G. Sangeetha.

5. Studies on folicolous fungi Kodaikanal forest region of Tamilnadu –
by Ms. R. Anjugavairam.

6.  A Ph. D. Research on the folicolous fungi of Kodaikanal Hills is now being  pursued by Ms. R. Nithyatharani, which is fully supported by the Bala Vidya Ganapathi Educational and Charitable Trust.
